I hadn't come across this thread before, until Clare bumped it up.
The opening post is the worst and most judgemental I have ever seen on this forum.
You are reading that post in isolation, Mrs. P, it came at as the result of a lengthy exchange of views between Clare and me; it's a little bit mischievous of her, though probably not intentionally so, to resurrect it out of context and after all this time. :nono:

As soon as I saw the blog post that I revived this thread with, I thought of that post of yours and how wide of the mark it was!

How could I not recall this thread when I read the blogger's words?:

I saw Praying Mantises whilst I was in India. They are fascinating! I think they prayed in one of the hundreds of local vernaculars because the missionaries hadn't got around to teaching them Latin! There were also some amazing stick insects - matchsticks for body, head and limbs connected with fine black thread!
