Another list of anagrams, each one containing the name of a person from England, Scotland, or Wales (alphabetical order) who has been declared to be a saint, blessed, or venerable. Isn't an anagram supposed to contain actual real words as opposed to random arrangements? |

The Concise Oxford Dictionary defines an anagram as a word, phrase, or name formed by rearranging the letters of another, such as spar, formed from rasp. So, strictly speaking, these do not qualify as anagrams. But they do make an interesting puzzle. Edited by SeanJ, Monday, 15. December 2008, 22:40.
