Next Friday Sean will have delicate treatment on his spine. If all goes well, his mobility will be better, and pain more manageable at least for the next few months.

Please keep Sean in your prayers.
Sorry, the date of treatment is tomorrow, Thursday - not Friday.

For Sean's doctors

Prayer to St. Luke, Patron of Physicians

Most charming and saintly Physician, you were animated by the heavenly Spirit of love. In faithfully detailing the humanity of Jesus, you also showed his divinity and his genuine compassion for all human beings. Inspire our physicians with your professionalism and with the divine compassion for their patients. Enable them to cure the ills of both body and spirit that afflict so many in our day. Amen.

Sean's wife sent a message, he is at home, recovering. The signs are that the delicate treatment (it was not an operation, it was done with hypodermic and x-rays) has been successful and will give some relief (but not a cure). Mrs Sean asks us to tell members they are very grateful for the love and prayers of Catholic Cyberforum members.

Sean's condition is no longer responding to the currently prescribed drugs and he has a further hospital appointment today to arrange for a new treatment,to be given given by intravenous drip three times at two week intervals, then either every two months by drip or at home by self injection. Please keep him, and his wife, in your prayers.

“It is most laudable in a married woman to be devout,
but she must never forget that she is a housewife.
And sometimes she must leave God at the altar
to find Him in her housekeeping.”
