As for understanding, well if you understand the mind of God then please explain. though I suggest we use a different thread, or three.
Yea! We could do with a different thread, or three. You volunteered, Richard!

A child was saved from a fall by means which we do not understand but were described by the child as “Flying”.

It would not be entirely honest to say that "we do not understand" the means by which the child was saved.

And yet you state it is possible to explain.
I have read your posts Powerofone. It is clear that what you think you are saying is inconsistent with what I am reading. I like OsB have no desire to discuss the matter further.

Too many double negatives there Richard. I lost the plot halfway through.
It's not clear to me why you would wish to disengage from the thread. Once common definitions are available (as they seem to be here), it's possible to move the debate forward. What, in your view, seems to be the impediment to moving the debate forward?
Where is my error? Where the mis-understanding?

And another thing. Why is this verse in Corinthians usually taken to refer to angels?

"He is the image of the invisible God, the first-born of all creation; for in him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or authorities--all things were created through him and for him. " (1 Col 1:15)

I recently watched a recording of Holy Mass of the Feast of the Guardian Angels on Boston Catholic TV. The celebant finished his homily by saying we should not forget to thank God for providing us with Guardian Angels who protect and guide us. (This is not intended as a debating point, just something I had not realised before).
