Medjugorje Vin,

That is the right answer. I learned that through CCR. So what are we to make of the "coincidence" maybe discuss the extracts?

Gerry

Great idea Gerry, sorry for the delay in responding to you and here is another extract.

Jesus said to Sister Faustina that He wanted Fr Sopocko to tell the world that He wished the Sunday after Easter Sunday to be declared "Divine Mercy Sunday".Here it is in its entirety:

"The two rays denote Blood and Water. The pale ray stands for the Water which makes souls righteous. The red stands for the Blood which is the life of souls...

These two rays issued forth from the very depths of My tender Mercy when My agonized Heart was opened by a lance on the Cross.

These rays shield souls from the wrath of My Father.Happy is the one who will dwell in their shelter, for the Just hand of God shall not lay hold of him.I desire that the first Sunday after Easter be the Feast of Mercy.

Ask of My faithful servant(Father Sopocko)that,on this day,he tell the whole world of My great Mercy;that whoever approaches the Fount of Life on this day will be granted complete remission of sins and punishment.

Mankind will not have peace until it turns with trust to My Mercy.

Oh ,how much I am hurt by a soul's distrust! Such a soul professes that I am Holy and Just, but does not believe that I am Mercy and does not trust in My Goodness.Even devils glorify My Justice but do not believe in My Goodness.
My Heart rejoices in this title of Mercy.

Proclaim that Mercy is the greatest attribute of God.All the works of My hands are crowned with Mercy.

I am offering people a vessel with which they are to keep coming for graces to the Fountain of Mercy. That vessel is this image with the signature:"Jesus I trust in You"
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Remember this is a great promise from Jesus to all sinners and as we all know He never goes back on a promise. He truly is a Wonder

Notebook VI (1732)

As I was praying for Poland,I heard the words:I bear a special love for Poland, and if she will be obedient to My Will,I will exalt her in might and holiness. From her will come forth the SPARK that will prepare the world for My final coming.

-------------------------------------------------------

These are the words given to St Faustina by Jesus in the Divine Mercy.

I believe that the SPARK is a reference to John Paul II,under the current world climate I would be interested to hear what others on the forum make of this.

I consider those words to be a double prophecy with a double fulfilment (at least).

Primarily they refer to the Divine Mercy message. This is the spark that will prepare the world for the second coming of the Lord. The devotion started as a spark in a convent in Poland and has now become a light shining all over the world.

However, they do also refer to Pope John Paul the Great. He came out of Poland and, importantly, is intimately connected with the acceptance and promotion of the Divine Mercy. He travelled the world and was a great figure and witness to Christianity for the world.

So I think it is a double prophecy.

Just one thing that bothers me.
JP II wanted to have his personal papers, that were not part of the Vatican destroyed, they were not, his wish was not fulfilled.
He alsowanted to be buried in Poland, admittedly, they was not possible.
At least one count one he was let down,
on count two he must have known thwe position.

Jesus Christ's message in His revelations to St. Faustina was that
this is a time for Mercy.
The times we live in, more than any other in history, call for
a great outpouring of the Mercy of God.
As a result, the revelations to Faustina became known as
"The Message of Divine Mercy" and Jesus received
a new title -- "The Divine Mercy" -- similar to
"The Sacred Heart" as a renaming of Jesus himself.

Say chaplet to God’s Mercy at 3 p.m. Special gift of grace!!!
It is, as Jesus passed on to St. Faustina (Journal 59),
the hour of great Mercy for the world and assures
us that no soul will perish if the chaplet is said
at least once; even the greatest sinners will receive
great Mercy at the hour of their death.

Each of us is invited to expand the cult of Infinite Mercy.
Help other people in finding their own way in Jesus; tell
them about His Mercy open for every remorseful and humble man
if there is time of Mercy.

Here is a testimony I have received recently as a reply
to my post in another forum :

Have you seen or heard this done on EWTN?
You can also get this on video (the Divine Mercy Chaplet in song.).
It is extremely moving.
We have used this to help share some of our faiths treasures with
our protestant neighbors and friends. Our neighbors through
a good deal of sharing (being lead by God to do so) and the Holy
Spirit preparing good ground now consider themselves "batholics"
instead of baptists.

It is wonderful that people of various denomination can unite in praying,
especially saying a chaplet to God's Mercy.
I encourage all of you to pray and to expand God's Glory!

I have no doubt The Divine Mercy saved my life once - when it needed saving. I still try to say it daily...

It is a good meditative prayer. It focusses my attention on the idea of God's Infinite Mercy and reminds me that NOTHING is impossible for God.

God Bless you.

Lord Jesus said we must either come to Him via His Mercy or come to Him via His Judgement, but come to Him we must.

I know which way I'd rather approach him... :)

Details of the first World Apostolic Congress on Divine Mercy, which will coincide with the anniversary of the death of the Servant of God, Pope John Paul II will be announced by Cardinal Christoph Schönborn on 31 January. The event will take place in the Paul VI Hall at the Vatican from April 2-6, 2008 and will be presented by Cardinal Schönborn, OP, Archbishop of Vienna (Austria) and the President of Congress; Fr Patrice Chocholski, General Coordinator of the Congress and Msgr. Mauro Parmeggiani, Secretary General of the Vicariate of Rome.

Cardinal Schönborn pointed out that the opening day of the congress would deliberately coincide with the anniversary of the passing of Pope John Paul II, “because he was a true witness of mercy.” The cardinal also recalled the words spoken by the late Pontiff during the consecration of the Shrine of Divine Mercy in Lagiewniki in 2002: “Apart from the mercy of God, there is no other source of hope for humanity.”
