It is amazing the variations in artistic representations of Our Lady. To me some are very attractive and real and realistic, others are very devotional and yet others, to me, although artistic are not real. It is interesting to note that European presentations are of a very white lady or Western Meditteranean. It seems strange to us that people in the Far East would, naturally of course, present her as an oriental. She would be of Middle Eastern features and tan. I was struck by one picture with a string of washing on a line! |

I have asked elsewhere, without success, so now I'm asking here: Does anyone know the words to the hymn "Welcome, Month of Mary" I remember that phrase is sung (twice) at the end of the verse so I assume that's the correct title. KatyA |

Mystical Rose THERE is no rose of such virtue As is the rose that bear Jesu: Alleluia. For in this rose containéd was Heaven and earth in little space: Res Miranda. By that rose we may well see There be one God in Persons Three: Pares forma. The angels sang, the shepherds too: Gloria in Excelsis Deo: Gaudeamus. Leave we all this worldly mirth And follow we this joyful birth: Transeamus. By an unknown Medieval Author |

I found the written report about Myrna, her apparitions and stigmata more digestible. The voice and particularly the background music of the You Tube version were annoying me. It is interesting to note that this is first time I have heasrd of such events. How does our Catholic Press appear to overlook the news? |

There are many links above, so I hope that you do not mind me adding another two. This is my Video, I made it barely 3 days after my operation as a thanks giving to Our Lady of Mount Carmel, which I just called MARY. I am also proud that it was selected by UNESCO to be featutred by them. All I ask you to never underestimate the Lady. My Webpage My Webpage |
