I have just returned from a wonderful Vigil Mass. I just love my faith so much - how can people NOT be Christians??

May God speak to everyone's heart this Easter.

Happy Easter to all
And to all a goodnight! :D

I'm also back from my Easter Vigil Mass. Two and three quarter hours including Baptisms, Receptions, Confirmations and First Holy Communions! As the celebrant said before we all staggered out "Good value for money!"

 Things are on the up! :D

HAPPY AND HOLY EASTER TO ALL!

What a lovely day it is. The sun is shining on Easter Sunday, the happiest, most hopeful day of the year for Christians.

It's Lutheran, but I feel that we are celabrating the same thing. It is for you to pass judgement.

As I reflect on the joy of Our Risen Lord I am saddened by the fact that so many of our churches are closed this Easter Sunday.

I know of a local church, where Mass has been celebrated since 1762 that has no Mass today.

It is my view that there are 4 reasons.

1. The failure of Catholic Parents to foster vocations within their homes.

2. The failure of Catholic schools to foster vocations.

3. The failure of Churches to encourage vocations.

4. The failure of many Catholics to meet their weekly Devotional obligations

I cannot remember the last time I heard a plea for vocations from the "pulpit"

In offering all members and guests The Peace Joy and happiness of the Risen Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, it is with a fervent plea to pray for the above intentions.

Yes the sun is shining here too and I am looking forward to joining some of my children and grandchildren for lunch.

God Bless

God Bless all who visit this forum,

Alan.
