Not in the eyes of people who know the first thing about Mugabe's evil regime. National leaders of their ilk will stop at nothing.

I think Archbishop Ncube is an incredibly brave man who has been the focus of the anti-Mugabe movement for the last couple of years, I think he is a wonderful man and having seen him interviewed several times I think he is so desperately needed in Zimbabwe. What I am saying is simply my view of the current situation. No doubt many people will continue to revere him and listen to him, but no doubt some will not, if the allegations against him are true or false really doesn't matter, he remains a great man, however to say his image hasn't been tarnished (if it is only in the eyes of a few) is naive. The fact he resigned may suggest to some that he was guilty, I personally disagreed with his resignation if he was innocent, he should have asked his Church to support him in his hour of need in the face of these allegations.

Whatever the situation may be, Bishop Ncude needs our prayers, and the people of his country.

It may be that a priest facing civil litigation for alleged adultery has to step down, just as priests charged with serious crimes have to choose between voluntarily dropping out of active ministry or facing suspension until the case has been finalised.

That may be the case, however the Church should exercise discretion in the case of an Archbishop being accused of something for political aims by a corrupt government, headed by a murderous dictator.
