How do members feel we will be judged on the final day of judgement will it be on

What we said
or on
What we did'nt say
or on
What we did
or on
What we did'nt do

Life is full of If Only (If only I had said this, If only I had done that). The old saying is, - the road to hell is paved wih good intentions-

Any comments anyone :fire:

Denis, your posting challenges my conscience.

I'll be back later, with my thoughts on this one.

I hope and pray that some of the good I do makes up for the bad I do and the good I fail to do.

All of the above! :tc: And I don't think there'll be a wall to duck behind either!

Fortunately, God desires Mercy not Judgement.

Thank Goodness!

Will we judged on whether we followed rules and procedures, or how much love we spread around?

I trust it will be the "love" element. God is, after all, Love.

And I know I have a lot of work to do in this area... :(

So would I!

But not an over-zealous interpretation of rules and regs where sin is not concerned.

Atheists are able to be very loving. God will surely expect more of we who have the advantage of Faith.

We must do our duty to God and the Church. Hopefully we do that out of love, not fear.

Quite agree Derek. You make an important point there!

First, I will need to explain what I understand about the nature of man, from the point of view of the first three chapters of the Book of Genesis. God, who is a Trinity of Father, Son and Spirit, is the origin of all reality – the Creator. Jesus has to be included in Creation because that’s where St. John places Him at the beginning of his Gospel. In creating man in His own image, God gave man in both body and soul, Being Humanity and Life. In God the Father (I Am who Am) is the perfection of Being, in the Son (Jesus) is the perfection of Humanity and in the Spirit (the Lord and giver of Life) is the perfection of Life. Man in both body and soul has being humanity and life, but this is chiefly in the soul because the soul is immortal. Just as all reality comes from God, the complete reality of the person is in the soul that is also a spirit.

Second, on the day of judgement we shall all stand naked before God from whom nothing can be hidden. We shall be seen as we truly are. What is revealed is the complete reality of the person and the question asked is: “Is this person worthy of the Kingdom of God?”

Do you love God? Do you love your neighbour – the image of God? If you do and if this is reflected in your life, despite your faults and shortcoming, you just may enter heaven. The final decision rests with God.

I hope to see you all in God's Kingdom and I hope you will all enjoy eternal bliss.
:)
