How much time do they spend on holiday, CARLO? I think they are entitled to one month in the year, young or not so young. Best excuse I came across for absence, was "I will be spending this week, Monday to Friday in Malta while the builders are in the presbytery. I got a cheap winter deal, I could not find anything in the parish at a reasonable price, and I try to be careful with your money." I could have arranged for a 36 foot centrally heated caravan in winter, for £100. The next priest to serve that parish took only four days holiday in a whole year! |
