June 2009, 20:36 I am trying to show that pre-V2 cakes were of a generally grander and no doubt tastier nature. I know nothing of 'Plaster of Paris'! Such things were unheard of pre-1962! Plaster of Paris cakes were very very very pre V2. People who could only afford one tier for the wedding cake would hire two or three tiers made from plaster of paris. So there!
