June 2009, 21:08 Let us pray in thanksgiving on the 113rd birthday, today, of Henry Allingham, survivor of the First World War, and last surviving founder member of the Royal Air Force. Mister Allingham is Europe's oldest man, so this is an opportune day to pray for all old people wherever they may be. Let us pray for Hsrry Patch on his 111th birthday. Mr Patch who is Britain's second oldest man, served as a soldier in World War I and was a firefighter during World War II so let us also take this opportunity to pray for peace in all nations.
