March 2009, 13:12 Tactical error in the kitchen is a long-established device for ensuring permanent expulsion from it. Washing coloured garments with white can have similar beneficial outcomes in the utility room. I don't mind if my husband keeps out of the kitchen, as long as he does such yucky stuff as unblocking the drains!! LIke the bloke who'd been warned to be very careful when removing the U-Bend under the kitchen sink. You know, all the yucky bacteria, old slime, the last dish wash. So very carefully he undid the plastic rims, and with a great sense of pride at not spilling a drop, took out the U-Bend and stood up straight and tall, his wife gazing at him admiringly. Then he poured it carefully down the sink.
