For as long as I can remember, the diocese in which I live has resourced lent reading/discussion groups. Usually [sigh] they look at the Sunday readings. This year, however, they have broken out and are looking at St Paul (since this is the year of St Paul). The material is on line and it is very good. http://www.dabnet.org/PastoralTeam/adform/lent09.htm PJD - I think you must be in the same diocese Rose - I have never met a PP who is prepared to let a Bible study go ahead at a parishoners suggestion. They may exist, but I have not mat them. I have come across several who "delay it to death". It is no exaggeration to say that they are afraid of it. |
