What's in a camp coffee cake??
The cake:

6 oz caster sugar
6 oz butter
6 oz self-raising flour
3 eggs
1 splash Camp Coffee
1 splash hot/warm water from kettle

Mix caster sugar and butter together.
Add the eggs, and water, and mix it about.
Add the flour and then Camp Coffee, and continue maixing until it looks like it can be poured into two round baking tins (approx 6" diameter, I guess?).
If you're not afraid of raw eggs, get a spoon and eat what's left in the bowl! Always tastes nicer than when it's all cooked, IMHO!

Gas Mark 5 for 20 - 30 mins, depending on how crispy you like your cake!

The icing:

4 oz icing sugar
4 oz butter
1 splash Camp Coffee
1 splash hot/warm water from kettle.

(The chocolate cake is the same only with a dessert spoon of cocoa instead of Camp Coffee - and you can always do the icing of one with the cake of the other!)
