Today I went to the Hospital and saw the poor people outside having a fag. As of next week this will have to stop due to a no smoking policy in or around the hostpital. As an ex smoker I feel very sorry for the people who through no falt of thier own have this habit and are told that they can no longer smoke even outside. To me this is barbaric, can you imagin being told that your child has just died, or that someone in the family has just pasted away, and you are a smoker, the first thing you reach for is a fag to calm you down. I know how they feel and it is no good for some body to tell you that you can go without, it is not that simple, the habit is very strong and no matter how many people tell you it's easy it is not. So please show a little christian friendship to the poor soles. Let them have a ciggy someware . |
