Our Lady's Catechists is a respected body, approved by the Bishops of England and Wales. They provide correspondence courses and support for people who want to be catechists, and for people who are already catechists. They also have a very basic course in Catholicism, ideal for beginners, Catholic or not. It is called Catholicism Made Simple. That will be ideal for a person living far from a Catholic church, or perhaps just preferring to learn alone, in the comfort of their home. Some people who are not Catholics might be curious, but not wanting to be Catholics. Some may be married to Catholics, and want to understand their husband or wife's faith.
