Due to resrtucturing at level 4 in the pyramid a total of 3 clubs could be promoted to the Northern Premier League Div 1 from the North West Counties League. This could happen because it looks like the N.P.L.Div 1are going to lose 4 clubs to the Southern League Div 1 (Midlands). This would probably mean that apart from the champions two other clubs would be promoted from the N.W.C.L.,and the same would apply to clubs in the Northern Counties East League. In the North East the Northern League clubs would not be in with a shout because of lack of ambition,no N.L. club would want promotion. Have a look at the main mans website (Tony Kempster),very interesting! |

Sorry Pete but it's still all up in the air. If the 1-2-3-5 option is picked (seems likely) as opposed to 1-2-3-6 then it will probably just be champions up from the NWC 1st. It also depends on how many of the 78 teams pass ground grading of which Lairds have, there are only as it stands about 30 promotion places available, and if the extra divisions are in the south as opposed to north (Northern Prem Mids Div is the possible sixth div) then geographical considerations would rule out 3 up from the NWC. That's how I interpret it, as confusing as it is. The ironic thing is the final say may well be half way through May!!! Let's just be focused on winning the league and helping the lads through the next few weeks...a tall order but one they are capable of. more here... Kempsters restructuring forum

also looks like runcorn may be folding at the end of the season so that will leave another place in the unibond stucture for hopefully a nwcfl side to gain promotion |

Strong rumours circulating ,that at the eleventh hour the N.P.L.are going to be given permission for an additional league at N.P.L. div 1 level,(N.P.L.Midlands). This will kick off next season, which means at least 3,possibly 4 clubs will be promoted from the North West Counties to the Northern Premier League div 1 (North). |
