We are not "Power hungry Noobs" I would like this merge as it would cause more friendships i believe that this merge will be the next stage in both COS and LI's Future. People will know how the merge was created as this will be explained on all recruitment topics over the internet. The members in my clan will happily follow orders from Icie and Titan (also any other ranks) and i am almost posotive that COS are the same. For the past few weeks LI and COS have pked alot together and it has run very smoothly we all got along, this has also proved we are willing to follow the orders of the other clan as Icie has lead some of the trips and i have lead others. I see nothing but bonuses in this merge: 1) More friends 2) More respect in the rs community 3) A stonger Force in all events (both wildy and non-wildy) 4) More Ideas & suggestions on improving 5) More talents (in game and out game) There are lots more reasons but i just have just given the main Pros. I believe that a clan is a group of people (a brotherhood) who have become friends, these friends work together to achieve great things, they work together using there individual skills and attributes for the benefit of eachother. There is a current issue where everyone is scared of losing a rank, (this is understandable as you have worked hard to gain these ranks) The ranks will be decided before the merge takes place, if you as a clan wish not to merge then that is your choice, this is an option, a democratic , the votes count, if you decide the merge is good then it will go through however if you decide that you wish for the merge not to happen then is wont. How you will approach the challenges of the future is up to you. But I am certain that your clan will come to realise that LI is a precious achievement, a Brotherhood that can deliver real friends and help in new ways and in new places. This is why this Alliance remains the cornerstone of our community, a community of values, and a community of action. United we stand, Divided we fall. |

EPIC (would be even more so if you had spelled it correctly :rolleyes: ) although, on the same lines of that...The bigger they come, the harder they fall.. I think the biggest problem is that people are unsure of what will happen, and start to lash out. Factions are formed, and before the clans can even merge they will split apart. WHAT WE MUST REMEMBER is that not everybody is going to be happy with this, so I think that staying polite, calm and sensible while presenting your point of view is essential if we are to come out of this intact, weather as one Clan or two Seperate Clans. Also, as said above, if it inevitably comes down to a merge, we must get to know each other first! (pktripzpl0x) And, a trial run would be good. ~Peace P.s What curls said, we do get on together, and from what I have seen from pk trips, LI would be an interesting bunch to merge with.. I was astounded by the easy going attitude of both clans, from "accidently" firing off snares at other teammates to taking the odd chop at someone. (it was lag ) :lol: |

I have never been in a merge or a clan that has merged but I have been in a clan that grew past 100 active members mark. It is a wholy diffrent thing in a clan like that, even though I was in a diffrent time zone to the other members and I was making at least 30 posts a day and I wasnt even one of the top posters either. This is just an example how diffrent it is to be in a big clan. I dout we will stay together if we go from 46 active members too 100, it is much better for it to be a gradual proscess where people can choose a clan that suits them and leaders have time to get used to the increase in memembers. I think some of Li will see us as lower as I think we are a smaller clan. It is not good as one of the clans will be the underdog from the merge. If one of our clans wants to disband and join the other that would work but not a merge I think. Id like to try the test personaly. |

I must say I understand both alternatives. There are several arguments for and against merging. Mainly the brotherhood part is one of the reasons I fear we will get weakened if we merge - thinning out the COS blood with Li members, no matter how strong. Still, I also like it. Becoming more powerful is tempting. Brothers, we must also think about the growth of our clan. If merging means we will grow in members, force and event attendance, then yes! If we will lose part of the brotherhood in the process, then lets just be allies. I still voted yes.... |

Titan, so you are saying we will have complete anarchy? or will there still be leaders and no staff? Are you proposing a complete dictatorship? unchecked power by a few controling the many? Sounds like a recipie for disaster to me. I would also like to say that that if the clan merged, I would very seriously consider leaving the clan. This is not an empty threat, I am in the COS for what we do, for what we stand for, who we are, not for the combat levels. I wouldnt betray the COS for anything, but if the leaders would hand us over to LI, I would leave in a heartbeat. |

I luv that quest,  also, i have kind of changed my opinion: I do believe that this would be a good idea for the clans, but, frankly, alot of changes would have to be made, for example, leadership (and staffing), rules, which website we will use, etc. etc., but if we get past those it might be a good idea then... |

After reading everyone's post, and considering them all. I have come to be all for the merge. I think Curly really laid it out and I can certainly see the points he tried to make crystal clearly. I know there are cons in the merge, but most are very small, and with a bit of work, can be overcome. If rank is all people are worried about, well I think that is pretty selfish tbh. You should worry about the good of the clan, and if you really believe you worked hard for your rank, then believe you won't loose it that easily. Trust me, I know Icie and Titan very well, they wouldn't take away your ranks away just like that. |

Beav, what do you think? Remember this is an option, there's a good chance this won't happen. The Leaders from both clans would be in charge and the Staff would be dropped to see how everyone gets along and how everyone works as a group. From there positions would be decided, with the current Staff being the most looked at for the position. Macho, there would be new forums and a new web site if the merge works. Titan Zeus |

I do and don't want this merge to happen, also, I have tons of questions, lots you will be able to answer, some not to later. Lets get to the questions: 1) Why are we doing this? 2) What will happen if both of the clans don't get along? 3) Who proposed this? 4) What would the clan name be? Combination of both? 5) How do you know this will work? 6) Why would everyone be removed from the postion in the clan? 7) If there are 2 or fewer people with the same position, would they be removed from the position? 8) How will this clan work with the proposed 4 or 5 leaders? 9) How many members does LI have? 10) If we merge with LI, would GK be there allies as well? 11) Would their allies become ours? 12) Would we have to make a new IRC Channel? 13) If so, who would control the IRC Channel? |

Probably me as I'm the best and most knowledgeable with IRC (I will give the password to the chanel to all Leaders of the clan, so all of us would have Founder Access, though, it would show up as me being the Founder if you were to look up the information of the clan (/cs info #Channel)) Feel free to ask any other questions you have. Like everything I do I have purposely waited to see how this shaped up, what people thought and most of all what people feared. You can always tell a lot from those types of posts and conversations. To me it would seem the biggest issue people have is where will they fit in the new merged clan. From what I have seen, that will all sort itself out without to many big issues. From all I have read, I see a lot of postives with just a few issues. If Icie and Titan want to do this they have my full support anyway I can help. --Vance |
