COS and LI Merge It was brought to my attention that there has been talk of our clan merging with our Ally, Lost Inferno. There are a lot of issues that can come from a merge and we want to let you address them and give your opinion on this whole issue. Once you vote, please also explain why you voted that way, since this is a huge decision to make. Also please address any of the issues below that you may have concerns about: Renaming of the COS Leadership merges More members Losing an Ally Those topics are just some ideas that we are currently addressing with the possible merge, if you have any other concers please let us know. I voted yes. If merging clans mean we will be more powerful and have more members, then yes. Renaming won't be much of a problem, we will just be a faction of the merged 2 clans.Can still be called the COS half  Now, about leadership, I'm no leader, but I dare say you guys gotta test eachother. |

Im not sure I like the idea of merging. We just got through deciding to not change the name. I also dont like the idea of other people who we have no experience with coming in as staff on our forums. Then there would be a question of who would be leader, and there would be a sturggle for power amongst the top people in both clans. I would be open to the idea of LI joining COS, but not a merger, where everything is equal. We need to look out for the future of the clan here, the future of the COS, not nesicerily the future of LI. |

I like it because: #1 More members = more people to attend events and what not. #2 We would just have 2 leaders from both clans lead the clan for a total of 4 leaders, and the same thing with IRC & Forum mods. They just merge in as well. #3 Could create more friendships as well |

I do not like it because: Renaming of the COS-Like the name Leadership merges-Someone will take over eventually More members-I like the nice little family we got here Losing an Ally-Ehh idk I suggest we have a free for all battle yes vs no in willdy prolly wont work but it would be fun |

I think a temp merge would be a good idea. Maybe merge for 2 weeks and see how it goes. Just make up a new channel. And act liek we are one clan for 2 weeks to test if it even works out. |

i actually would prefer not to merge. yes it would be a great way to get more members, and also a great way to meet new people, but i do not beleive that it is a smart decision. whichever clan is bigger (and i beleive it is them) will eventually take over, and the structure we have now will fall. I do not want to see the clan we have now just disapear into something else.... plus icie and titan are too good of leaders to share their roles with 2 other people, no offense to LI, i'm sure they have great leaders also, its just i would hate to see what we have fade into something equally or less great....anyone understand what i'm saying? |

I put other, for various reasons. firstly, I still see myself as relatively new to the clan, so I'm not sure what would be best. I still am yet to see the clan at full strength out on the field. Secondly, after quite a few PK trips with LI, I've gotten to know them, they seem like a nice bunch, and good allies...and that is my point, that maybe if we were to merge we would lose some valuable allies, who would otherwise be clan members. I do not see it as a wise movement to take, but, I'm open to anything

We are different from LI. Their goals mayby different from us. Our goals is brotherhood, while theirs is unknown. One way or the other, leadership will take over the clan. Causing more flaming and more splitting up. The reason we ally them is because we have similiar things (Idk how to explain this) |

Dont like it. We stay together. And im not changing the name...Cos is Cos and nothing else for me >.<. I just dont like it, could cause problems and the last thing I want is this clan ending. |

Based off my observations of browsing through Rs forums such as Pure Community, almost all merges end up destroying the clan. You get power-hungry noobs taking control of the admin cp, and members from each clan disrespecting the other clan's leaders. The only way to have a successful merge is to have actually known the other clan for a LONG time, and I mean around 6 months. Walking into a merge blind will tear the clan apart. Before merging, I suggest that COS and LI pk together every single week, as much as possible in order for the members to get to know each other. Otherwise, the clan will fall apart. |

Well, I put other, I dont think we should do it unless there is like, no other option, or whatever, because we have a good system here and we have good staff and everything, but the moment we merge with LI, all staff members would lose their position, there would be confusion, and all kinds of unwanted strees that would be placed on the members of this clan and none of us (the staff) would want that to happen to anyone in this clan.... |

I like the idea. I've been talking to Curls for a while. He seems like a good guy. With the Staff issue Beav, we're not entirely sure what to do. I think it would be smart to drop all Staff (if this happens) and see how everyone works together. Then we'd promote people from there. We might even have some extra people promoted because the forums and IRC should be a lot bigger with eighty members. Titan Zeus |

About the staff thing. If both clans have the same amount of members, and about the same amount of staff, then wouldnt it be a good idea to have the staff members from both clans to keep their positions? Like today I went to there channel to just say hi. They had 2 irc mods, and so do we. Then there would be 2 irc mods from both clans. just a thought. w00t typed all that on psp |
