It was nightfall. The moon was a thin crescent, and Amberpaw admired it's strength in light. Her paws twitching, she made her way down the forest path. She didn't know where she was going, but she didn't need to this time. It was just one of those night time exploring expeditions. Amberpaw didn't need anyone to come along with her anyway, she could take care of herself, by herself. She had done so since she was a kit. The silver light guided her paws, and her pelt was turned to a silvery brown as she padded beneath the moon. At last, her paws lead her to the Crystal Pool. She settled herself down beside the bank of the pool, slightly dipping her paws into the clear water. The cold water reminded her of something, something that she had known since she was a kit. If only she knew what it was... |
