Soulsong eagerly streaked into Forestshine, but stopped, confused, when she didn't see Mintstar. I must have gotten ahead, the she-cat mewed uncomfortably. With a glance around the clearing, she pushed behind a small bush, concealing herself from Mintstar. Hopefully when StormClan arrived, she could just slip in and pretend she had been there the whole time, and no cat would ever need to know any better. With a sigh, Soulsong dropped her head onto her crossed paws. She would be looking forward to seeing her friends from other clans, that is, if she had actually had any. ((ooc|| Sorry for starting the Gathering with a warrior, but it really needs to start!)) |

[Yeah, well, I guess thats where we should start... I wonder what he will say about both Moonstone, and Lynxstar's dissapearance. ] Blacktip let his claws slide in and out unsteadily, he was already preparing his speach, he was already making up the excuse of how Lynxstar would not be there at the gathering, but still showing that Lynxstar was okay. He shivered a bit, but now even Moonstone wasn't comming, and there would have to be some kind of explination... he knew he would make it short and simple, but he would stand up to preassure and questions. He took his spot near the Great rock before realizing he needed to be up there. Tenderly he took a spot between Mintstar and Minowstars normal spots, avoiding jaggedstar. He looked out, all was bare but soon it would fill to the brim, not only with his crew of cats who hated him, but with questioning cats who would come to hate him, and maybe a few who stood up for him. He shivered but didn't let it show. He would also have to find out what to say about the missing apprentice, Eighttoes mentioned her dissapearance too. His white tail wrapped around him ever so lightly and he took a relaxed position. |

Minnowstar led her clan into the forest shine. It was an unusual cold night, and she didn't want to get green cough or anything, so she hurried up to where she was suppose to be. When she got up onto the large ancient rock she found Blacktip sitting there. "What are you doing here..." She squinted, then looked back at the large tom. "Last I saw you, Lynxstar was still leader and attacking my clan." She meowed, almost hissing. She was still not very pleased with the warrior's clan but knew it had been the leaders idea, not Blacktip's. "Where is he?" She wondered out loud. Was he too ashamed to show himself to her after the battle? After his loss? Maybe, but his ego wasn't that big. |

Jaggedstar skidded unceremoniously into the FourestShrine, the sight of the almost-untouched snow blanketing the ground reassuring him a little. He stopped dead at the very edge, bouncing off a bush and shaking himself as he looked up, seeing Minnowstar talking to... Blacktip? He blinked; surely Lynxstar wasn't dead. He was a very young leader, and last Gathering he had seemed fine... the DustClan leader shuddered slightly and stepped up to the stone ledge at the back of the clearing, twitching his tail in a sign for his Clan members to follow him. Jumping up onto the ledge, Jaggedstar took his place at the end of the stone and greeted Minnowstar and Blacktip with a nod, choosing not to say anything; it appeared that Minnowstar was rather annoyed about something and it would be a bad idea to butt in. |

Blacktip lifted his head gently. "I will announcethat toevery one." he mewed silently. He tried his best to make it sound like he was talking right and he was glad that he could actually make a sound. He then looked around and sighed a bit relaxing himself as he knew around the leaders it was either he wouldn't be scrutinized as much as his own clan... or even worse.. |

Minnowstar glared back at Blacktip, and looked over at Jaggedstar. "Hi." She meowed, watching him nod to the deputy. She looked around for her deputy, not sure if she had arrived yet. "How is your clan doing?" She asked the dustclan leader, trying to be polite. She didn't want to ask Blacktip, afraid that he would get mad or embarrass her in front of Jaggedstar. She wondered if the news about the battle had gotten to DustClan. IT hadn't been that long ago, but news traveled fast. |

Blacktip felt a bit left out, 'I wonder if this is what every deputy goes through? Or maybe its just my voice.' he sighed and looked out StreamClan and DustCLan where there, Ashclan, but what about StormClan? He settled again and looked down placing his nose over the edge. Melodypaw filed in behind the DustClan crew. She wondered where every one else was. She then Scratched her ear and licked her paw grooming herself incase she met another cat, maybe a friend for once. Nightarbor came inbehind Minnowstar and sat down looking for fox paw. [yes I got lazy] |

Jaggedstar's ears twitched at the usual question from Minnowstar. He'd always wanted to reply 'same as last time' to that question, but he knew it would be rude and the StreamClan leader was only trying to be polite, anyway. He paused before replying, then meowed "Fine... the snow has lightened up a little, but other than that nothing really interesting. How's the prey running in StreamClan?" He kneaded his paws on the cold stone, shifting off some snow and looking over momentarily at Blacktip, still curious as to Lynxstar's whereabouts. Where could he be...? |

Minnowstar decided to tell the leader about the fight before Blacktip made up a story himself. "Er. The prey is running fine." She hesitated. "And we are all recovering from the battle." She announced, feeling like everyone was listening all of a sudden. She knew she was just being paranoid, but she couldn't keep from wondering. She looked down at her paws, waiting to see what Jaggedstar would reply to what she had just told him. He probably already knew about it, since it had happened rather close to his territory, but still, maybe he hadn't heard. |

"Yes how is your clan after that poor battle?" he asked suddenly sitting up. "I am truly sorry about that." He mewed "Letting you know I was against the Idea, and I give an apologie" that had been the most he had ever spoken in his life so Minowstar had better realize that he was sincere... even the other clans knew he never spoke. He let out a sigh and continued on looking below him. |

Minnowstar felt mad all of a sudden. "My clan is doing perfectly fine after the battle." She spat, mad at the deputy's comment. "How is your clan?" She asked him, trying to calm down. "We did win you know." She snarled, hoping he understood that it had still been wrong to attack. HE was still there on the battle, even though it hadn't been his idea, he still had to be blamed for part of it. He couldn't just get away with it. Not now, not ever. "IS that why Lynxstar isn't here?" She laughed. |

"Lynxstar is fine!" He hissed sharply but not loudly. "in fact the only wounded one in our clan was an apprentice." He mewed. He sat back. "I know you won, thats why I didn't battle." he mewed. "Do you think that there was a reason for our group of cats being so small? Because most of them objected to the Idea... Lynxstar has a matter he is dealing with, and like I said that will be spoken about infront of all of the clans." he mewed. He stood up and walked to the other side not interested in talking to any cat any more. |

00c//Cookies, shouldn't Blacktip be standing up for his clan, not apologizing? That was not a very loyal thing to do... -shakes head- Wingedpaw rushed into the clearing, her eyes wide and happy. She skidded to a stop next to Jaggedstar, but turned away from him as he leaped up onto the Ancient Rock. Sighing, she wished that Tigerpaw could be here with her, sharing one of her first gatherings. It was all overwhelming, but somehow she managed to block it all out. She wasn't able to pick out any other apprentices, so she concentrated on the leaders' conversation. So there had been a battle. She almost wished it had been against DustClan. Some action would be nice around here... But no. Cats could die- wait, was Blacktip apologizing. Wait. Why was the deputy there in the first place? Had lynxstar died?! Frozenpaw stumbled down into the clearing, tripping over her own... four feet. Grinning enthusiastically, she couldn't wait to get into the middle where she could talk to all the cats. The leaders were arguing about something, but she shrugged that off, wanting to find something more interesting to do. Glancing around her, she realized her own leader and mentor, Mintstar, had not yet arrived. Ohno.., she thought, her eyes growing wide, Will I be in trouble now? She rushed towards the edge where she had arrived, calling her leader's name, "Mintstar!! I'm sorry!" Her voice was sweet, no matter how loud, "Mintstar?" |

Jaggedstar flinched slightly as Minnowstar and Blacktip began to break into an argument -- something about a border fight? He had certainly had no idea about any fight; although he hadn't exactly been 'with it' (as the apprentices and young warriors would put it so eloquently) for a while, surely he should have heard about this by now? He frowned, feeling rather guilty for sort of abandoning his Clan... they needed a strong leader to reflect their own strength and bravery. He wasn't really the best cat for the job, but he would have to do for now. And right now, the best idea would be to keep quiet... --- Wishpaw scuttled into the clearing, slightly late. She'd been so busy -- she had gotten a little distracted by a squirrel on the way down to the Fourestshrine. She'd even caught it this time, she thought proudly as she bounded towards a suitable and not too snow-covered piece of ground to sit on. She looked around brightly, amber eyes wide with excitement as she searched for somebody to talk to... (or torture, as her mother would put it). |
