Bring On The Hate; What motivation is there to join guild?

OK I recently joined the guild and thought I'd give it a try since its even more boring guildless in game.

The thing is the ingame guild atmosphere is kinda.. tense, unfriendly(at times not always!!) and VERY quiet. Also in game its like everyone for himself until somone faces some task impossible alone and then maybe somone will help.

If your thinking of saying "the high lvl ppl are busy and you should ask ur friends and not bother them" you should be tarred, feathered and set on fire. The reason we are a guild, or at least after reading the guild objectives and rules(with emphasis on the tutor system), the conclusion would be to create a environment where we could logon join up with a couple of fellow similar leveled players and get thru our quests/grinds together faster and with a little company. Yes this does mean putting your quests on hold to help somone maybe 2-3 lvls lower than you get up to speed!! Next week your're behind for whatever raeson and those very ppl you helped wil be more than happy to help you back - i hope LOL

This post was of course inspired by the drama earlier today where naiah or w/e his name was got pretty much bullied out of the guild. Feel free to correct me if im wrong but he didint enjoy his current char(EP) and decided to try a WF, which he was doing well with(getting lvl 25 in a few days). Then the whole guild pretty much jumped down his throat and told him hes wasting his time making a WF and hes just messing about making new chars bla bla bla. I was so pissed I almost left myself! How dare you guys yell at a fellow guildmate for making a change in class? This is a new game and he was only playing a few weeks - I beleive about one month. Everyone likes to play around with clases at 1st to see which they enjoy playing the most. i DID read in the purpose of this guild was to enjoy the game together?
How are we supposed to enjoy the game when the lvl 60+ guildies btich at lvl 25 players that they are wasting time and they are below the min req lvl of 30? why the hell did u recruit said person in the 1st place?

Summary: If we as guild want to be competition to memoire/espada/etc we need to look at guild politics and friendlyness/helpfullnes among another. I wouldnt in good concience(sp) recomend this guild to friends at all as it is now.
Sorry it ended up a bit long, I'd say more but its already to long -Comments?

lol, alarica said that she dont cares to wich job naiah plays, since he plays...

and kane...well he told what he thinks, thats his opinion...

we all have the right to express our opinion...he didnt told her to leave the guild...he told her that he doeanst likes the idea changin from a ep to a wf...nothing else...

i agree...she has the right to play with any class that she wants to, but kane has the right to express his opinion too...

The way "opinions" was expressed was in a rude manner. I wish I saved the chatlog to paste here and maybe you'd see what I mean.

The point tho isnt to dwell on what happened, but to learn from that and to work on making this guild better. To staff this I was reading the guild roster post thing the other day and scrolling thru all the names of ppl that left. Have u noticied how many prominent lvl 60-70 players currently in other guilds used to be in this one? A lot of ppl dont stick around and when somone leaves no one seems to care about it.

Liep sometimes they to go where higher players are, so they can say that they are in the higher guilds but they didnt do nothing on them. Others left because they party with other people that they invite to their guilds. Others left didnt tell anything to any1 and when we ask they dont answer.

Every1 can choose what to do, no guild is perfect.

Only times, besides with Liep, where someone's been requesting help with #Xmonster quests is when it's been a <20 whose just not clicking with things and generally quits the game after a few days of complaining. While I don't think it's unreasonable and I'd be happy to help someone roughly my level in such instances, I'd hardly consider it a frequent enough issue to have much of a reflection on the quality of the guild one way or another. Though if we want to talk about altruism, one should ask oneself how often they see AOE parties dragging around classes that aren't HELPFUL in them. As a WF, I think it's kind of crappy for me to help an EP get their quests done so they can go grind their way past me in parties I'll never be a part of. Ultimately, it balances out and one should look beyond their personal situation when trying to make some allegedly poignant statement about the community.

Anyway, as to the guild in general, the size dictates the way it should be run. A small guild, preferably comprise mostly of people in the same timezone, is ideal for maintaining a close-knit community. Larger guilds are going to have a largely opportunistic population by default and there's going to have to be some widespread back-scratching going on and a departure from some arbitrary ranking system that doesn't appear to reflect upon an individual's knowledge of the game, level of activity IN THE GAME (and subsequently his/her level) or any deference to that person's potential for leadership.

Well... First off...

I'd like to explain 2 things...

When someone is recruited to a guild... He's recruited for a purpose, and to fullfill a task..

Now i don't really care if someone changes classes, or tasks... What bothers me is like 5/6 ppl all with 2nd chars in the guild... and 2/3 of them have changed to WereFox...

faaw, was on the guild for 2~4 weeks... And you can amke a lvl 2X in a weekend... SO a lvl 25 WF isn't actualy a great achievement...

Why? Because its apparently easier... But thing is... If everyone goes to werefox because its easy... Then this game would be full of werefoxes...

The second thing is... The guild is already stock full of WF players...
We don't need more... Thats why i said that...

As for motivation...

Well... You have the same motivation as anywhere else... I play for fun... And made the guild to have fun with other ppl...

The fact that i've been out of the game for these past weeks, seems to have affected the guild largely...

And today i came back to an "empty" guild...

It pains me that most of the ppl i trusted the most have left the guild...

Including some ppl that have given out big "loyalty" speaches...

I'm rebuilding the guild with the "bricks" that i have left...

Anyone wants to join in on the effort... Feel free to do so...

Also... Most of the time... Its like... I disconnect, and the other day, when i get back, there are 5~10 more ppl on the guild...

And then half those guys never show up again, and no one recruited...

So what can i do, kick...

Thats to say... Random Incites made this guild worse than ever, and thats the main reason why no one is ever on, and parties are scarce...

Also these random invites made it impossible for me to establish the tutor system...

The second factor is that... Some of us, specialy high lvls, tend to preferably hang out with ppl from other guilds... Which means they don't have the "space" to play with guildies...

I hear your pains... and you're right...
