War Defense Agains Shades...; What went wrong?

LOL... Besides shades being WAAAAY higher lvl than us...

We were too disorganized... I know its partialy on me... But i couldn't do anything, because i had no internet...

The next step is to really strengthen our guild... And then start raiding other lands...

I'll try and work out other stuff for us to do, specially because we'll need a new source of income...

We spent about 2MIL today on the war...

I'd like to give everyone a chance to comment on this...

Hmm the easy answer was "we've never done it before XD"

Its way diff from fighting the mobs the 1st time.

problem: The walls seem to limit more than help, some MG/EP aoes totally killed my entire party on the wall and we didint even see the caster.
possible solution: I think a flanking atack would be better than sitting in wait.

prob: When ppl die and respawn they dont regroup, but dash suicidally back into the fight.
sol: we need to create fixed parties with member that get along and think clearly.

prob: I(and maybe others) never atacked a party of players, and had no idea how to win.
sol: After today it seemed the best way would be to eliminate the healers immediatly with flanking archers(healer pdef sucks and they stay in the back feeling safe) and then tackling the rest of the party with WR/WB's having the remainder of the archers support them.

General stuffs:
Lots of teamwork, not only working well as a party, but as groups of parties. Since we mostly lower lvls we need to outnumber the enemy and form melee and ranged parties and have at least 2 of these parties work together as the situation allows.

Numbers, 40 members taking part in TW = no victory, its just cold hard fact.

You'd prob heard this alot but, There is no "I" in Team. point of being a team or party is to work as one, when you die respawn and go back to your caption or where your team is set at (if you have a battle plain)

As before, No "I" in team blah blah blah. One of the major things about teamwork is talking, talking so the battle leader (Kane i guess) can get information that he can't see, then give orders to the party leaders that they know is right.
An idea for this is using a voice program like Vent or Teamspeak (or xfire i was told). first TW i saw there was alot of orders from Kane which didn't get replyed by party leaders, along with the spam that wasn't needed by people cleared those orders from the battle leader which ment those other parties were running blind.

(I was told we have TS and there is a post on the forums with details but i couldn't find it)

an idea for parties is;

Battle Leader -> 5 Commanders/Captions for party leaders (if they are exp with this type of thing) -> parties filled with...

1) 1 EP, 1 MG, 1WF, 2 EA, 1 WB/WR
2) 2 EP, 2MG, 2 EA, 2WB/WR
3) 1 EP, 2MG/WF, 1 EA, 2WB/WR
4) 2 EP, 1MG, 2EA, 1WB/WR

just some ideas, doesn't have to be like that (alot easyer with 8 ppl)

Just think of the party of players as a Mob of monsters.

In GW (Guild Wars) we normaly target one person and spike them so the healer doesn't have time to heal that person.
The monks (EP on here) would kit around everything to get away from melee (war, ele, ranger) i.e jumping over logs, rocks, and other things to slow them or stop them from getting you.
From what i have seen while playing this you can't really spike (haven't tryed with a party using a voice program), i know it takes a small amount of time to heal some1 with a preist, with spiking on here you'd need to see what armor they have to know what to spike with (pdef use mage/wf, mdef use EA/WR/WB)

I think the most important thing to retain is in a guild of 130 player not half was on for TW, only 40 players, thats to low and to defend against a higher lvl guild numbres count.

It was our 1st guild vs guild battle and we learn from the mistakes we made ( i hope ). we were disorganized, i think there were very little team work and the tatic fail. we should have use the centre pass to atack from the back the parties of shades but its easy to talk now.

next week find a land or a guild we can atack and start again to build our EMPIRE :P

as another idea for next guild vs guild: the catapult controlers sould be an priority, they are the ones that do more dam to towers, besides, i think that we could use aoe towers at entrances, since its when their partys are more toghether... anyway we didn't had a chance, they where to high lvl for us... the walls aren't helpfull...
i agree with the flanking i did it a bit of times and almost killed some healers (i would make it if there were someone fighting in their main front side...)

well i cant say much because i wasn't at the war -> sick (had to stay in bed) :(
but from what i can see is that there is lack of ppl going to the war and lack of organization...
besides some ppl of the guild don't even know when there is going to be a war... (its not the first time i see ppl asking if there is going to be a war or not)

anyway.. i think that it should be all posted (strategies and stuff) when we have a war, so that ppl know what to do... (last time that was done, it worked).

well im sorry for my absence on the war, but in any case wasn't much of a difference because the shades where more stronger than us...

Me in guild chat allways announce when TW is gonna happen and some people teel me that they already know. So why they miss the TW?

Lets thing about nest war.

and we have the pw war room for wars strategies and that stuff...

yeah i know we have pw war room, but what i meant for strategies and stuff was, that teams should be made before the war (posted in the forum) so that ppl don't get lost in the war...

btw... i dont see many strategies for a Guild x Guild war...
