Just got a copy of Band on the run, Apple 50 from Greece. It bears the legend Apple 50 A/B in the run-offs. However, there are no mother/stampers, nor a 7YCE number. Does anyone know anything about this release? Was it locally mastered?

I can't answer your question definitively, though I'd assume it would have been cut locally; I think all Paul's other Greek-pressed 45s up to this point had the usual R- catalogue numbers & 7YCE matrices, which I guess indicates UK-sourced metalwork. But does your copy have Paul's name spelled "MacCartney"?!
