New Zealand Hard Day's Night Spine Error

I recently picked up a decent black label NZ HDN and spotted that the spine had titled the LP 'A Hard Night's Day'. Is this something that was on all the original sleeves, or an error that was very quickly corrected?

Original release with "Night's Day" error and blacked out catalog number error:https://www.discogs.com/The-Beatles-A-Hard-...release/9879204

I have seen other references to the "Night's Day" error, and it sounds temporary.
I don't have a newer copy.

Yeah, the spine on my copy has a blacked out part, too.

Thank you for that! :)

Ross' book says this is an early reprint cover not the original, which seems logic because it has the release no. blacked out...
He does not show the original version however.

This copy has the original black Parlophone label, and not the slightly later blue label. Also has the gold 'mono' sticker at the top.

Just like the first one Yokono has listed here:http://yokono.co.uk/collection/beatles/nz/...p_mo1.html##3-1

Which sleeve do you have then? The one on yokono is different to the one on discogs.

I observe at least 3 subtle label variations. Oh joy of joys.
Clearly the cover distinction is more important.

I've taken some better photos and made them a bit bigger - if there's anything you need a close up of, just say and I'll get a photo for you.

I've noticed that the catalogue number that's been blanked out is PMCM 1203.

As I indicated, they are minor label shifts.

Consider the copy here as variation i:

i: At the bottom of the labels, there is a single blank (horizontal) space between THE and BEATLES. As a result, on the side-one label the T in THE lies just to the right of the left side of the C in CAN'T -- the word appearing above it.

ii: As in i, but there is considerably more space between the side number on each side and the material below it. This is more evident on side one. The catalog number is also shifted, relative to the rest of the text.

iii. There is approximately two blank spaces between THE and BEATLES. As a result, on the side-one label the T in THE lies just to the left of the left side of the C in CAN'T -- the word appearing above it.

all copies I have with the A Hard Nights Day cover have the later blue label pressing. It is interesting to note the font used for the reprinted catalog number is different to the usual one.
