Best Pressings Of Each Album?; Detailed info of best/alternate pressing

Has anyone made a comprehensive list of best pressings of each album?
Most people consider the U.K. -2/-1 first pressing Abbey Road to be the best but it would be nice to have a list of other pressings to look for. For example, which countries were sent the same metal work and pressed their own version on good quality vinyl? Another example is most people consider the U.K. Sgt. Pepper their first choice, but the German Odeon/EMI blue label (I forget the matrices) also sounds great as does the Japanese red wax mono. I'm mainly looking for alternatives to the original UK pressings that may be easier to find with less wear and tear. I've seen Holland, Italian, South African, and Australian pressings mentioned but it can be difficult to understand all the matrix pressing info. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

"Most people consider the U.K. -2/-1 first pressing Abbey Road to be the best". Their loss! I paid $15 for an Aussie NM first pressing (laminated "blood" sleeve) with UK -2/-1 matrices. Not an ounce of distortion. I made a vinyl rip of "Here Comes The Sun" and posted it over at SHF a while ago - not a click, pop, or anything to be heard anywhere. $15.

A NZ copy, using the same UK cut, is no slouch either, beaten by the Aussie only because the NZ is a bit more expensive.

The best AR presssin IMO is the Japanese Pro-Use pressing.
For WA: German DMM has always been my favourite (stereo) and the recent remaster for the mono pressing.
In general I prefer German pressings over UK pressings.
