Just came across a copy of Please Please Me MONO 4th issue with no 33 1/3
It comes in the 'Gold' sleeve - where 'Photo Angus McBean' is right of the 'S' in SONGS on an EJ DAY sleeve
However, there is no TAX code stamped in the dead wax not the centre of the label on side 1 nor 2
Is this common.
Matrix XEX421-1N stamps AD Mother 1 NO tax stamp
Matrix XEX422-1N stamps AD Mothers 1 with 2 underneath NO tax Stamp
'P' of PMC on label is within the centre circle side 1 and half in on side 2

yes very common, for some reason quite a few copies of PPM either do not have a tax stamp or - and more likely - the tax stamp simply never came out in the stamping process.

It's a bit of a 63 issue since 45's like some FMTY and SLY's ( seems to affect one font label only though ) also have this same issue, no tax stamp visible on the centre plug.

PS the tax code was never stamped in the deadwax on albums, only on singles and eps. but it should be in the centre plug but like i say this is a know issue with PPM and not just 4th label copies, i think it can affect all the 63 PPM labels
