I am interested in this USA Hey Jude LP with the large red "Hey Jude" sticker. I am concerned about the stickers authenticity as I have come across "dubious copies" before and this sticker is relatively easy to copy. So I am looking for an opinion on this one. Looks real to me, but......... eBay Hey Jude Thank you |

Sadly, this is one of the stickers that I no longer trust. Same with the smaller white and red Hey Jude sticker. As you say, the design is simple enough that it can be copied. They are also well enough known that lots of collectors have them on their radar. One thing you can do is compare this copy to a known original to make sure the letter shape and spacing is the same. If you buy it, check the curved portions of the print with a magnifying glass. If it is stepped, it was printed digitally. Mechanical printing processes (which included all commercial printing in the 1960s and 1970s) have a smooth curve. Also look at the solid portion of the print with a magnifying glass. If it has a regular matrix pattern, it was printed digitally. Mechanical printing processes will have a solid color with occasional irregularities from over- or under-inking. |

The record is genuine, and the seal looks genuine. I, too, am skeptical of the sticker. This one is genuine:http://www.rarerecords.net/store/beatles-h...h-rare-sticker/ |

It doesn't say in the listing if the sticker is on top of the cellophane seal or underneath. In the link that Frank posted it says that the sticker is underneath the cellophane. I cant tell from the pictures. Ask the seller might be good idea. But like the others have said the stickers can be printed easily. |

The sticker in the ad is clearly on top of the shrink wrap. |

Oh well then sounds like D.I.Y job. I would of just sold it without the sticker better off not to con people in the long run. |
