The Beatles Story Cross Over Mono; HOW WHY WHOM ?

as you know i am out of my comfort zone on all things non UK so i was surprised when i found this lovely mono ( which u rarely see here in mono ) copy that seems to have a scratton disc and a contract pressed disc :-

Those MUST be mis-matched. Records pressed by Decca would have to come from a Decca pressing plant and would go straight out after that. It is impossible to obtain "new" a 2LP set with records from different plants.

thats what i would have thought Frank yet the set is in such lovely condition they look like they belong together.

So either they were swapped out early on which would be odd or a collector has done it in later years but i tell you it does not look swapped out, there is a nack to swapping and most people do not have it lol !!

btw Frank if that one is a Decca who is the contract presser for this one :-

That copy of Meet the Beatles is most likely an RCA Victor pressing. RCA pressed a lot of "overflow" for Capitol in 1964-1965.
