Anyone got any spare copies of the following they're wanting to shift?

Meet The Beatles (US) EAS 80562
The Beatles' Second Album (US) EAS 80563
The Early Beatles (US) EAS 80565
The Beatles Beat EAS 81057
Rarities (UK) EAS 63010
Rock n Roll Music Volume 2 EAS 70129
The Beatles In Italy EAS 81525

Once I clear these I can start my 'Forever' OBI AP series collection, one thing at a time you see.

Cheers
Carl

I don't have any, but as a general rule they are not hard to find on ebay (I can't speak to specific LPs).

If you you then undertake the more frustrating task of collecting the older obis, invest in a decent magnifying glass so you can detect digital printing (a sure sign of a reproduction). It shouldn't be an issue for the Forever or country flag series.

These pressings have excellent sound generally, that's why I like this series. White label promo pressings also exist (sleeves identical to commercial versions), probably of all titles in the flag OBI series. These are quite rare and expensive. I never saw a label variant of the commercial LPs, but some promos exist with small or large Apple logo. Quite strange they made promos for these LPs...

Thanks Frank, I have already bought a number from the 'Japon' guy but had my eyes taken out with shipping, I may still give it another whirl tho.

Some of the others are just too expensive

I have the whole set and while the majority are readily available there were a few that took a while most notably The Beatles in Italy and I paid top dollar for it They look and sound great.

IMO sound quality on these EAS series is far from great. They mastered too bright as if there is no bass whatsoever. Of course they usually overpriced here in US, but that is because they "exotic pressings from Japan". Earlier AP series usually sound much better, but still not as good as any pressing from UK, even from 1980s.

Does anyone happen to know if the US / German / Dutch discs are mastered from their respective countries source metalwork?
