Posted Image Hi all, new to the forum so still finding my feet! I've been collecting and selling Beatles records for years and I've just came across this Sgt Pepper mono 1 box with STEREO matrices and Yex on both labels...it plays in stereo. Not sure how this error would've happened and I can't find much info on the net or from past sales. What do you guys think? |

These sort of things turn up from time to time. It's more a mis-labelling than a mis-pressing. I have a Hey Jude Lp with the same label both sides, and a Help! which actually plays the same both sides! There's also BOJ&Y with a Get back & old brown shoe labels on it, and probably many more. Some people love these sort of quirks. AH |

yes l love these quirks, this is a known error so there are more of them but they are collectable and so a very nice find ! Another known error is an early 70's mmt stereo with some sides with the mono matrix and so plays mono, i had one ( sadly not now ) with Blue Jay Way in mono. Having said that all Ballads have a mono matrix and play stereo, but that one does not count since that was clearly a screw up when they allocated the matrix prefix being the first stereo single. |

Yeah I just find it bizarre how these things happen...Mis-labelling sounds about right to me. Any idea on its value? I've spoken to Perry Cox. |

I suspect what Perry Cox can get for any LP is more than you or I could get for the very same LP. Obviously you will do well -- if you sell it, let us know if you made Perry Cox money or muffmasterh money. If you don't sell it, you have a very cool LP. |

Hmmm potentially. I believe a record of this kind will make a great amount either way. How could I make muffmasterh money...? I've sold through Perry Cox before and it was really successful but I don't like the sound of the fees he charges. |

Haha couldn't quite tell if that was a joke or not - I've seen your stuff sell on eBay for loads! And you always have the highest quality, rare items. I think I'm going to list this on eBay soon and see what happens. |
