sorry didn't quite get you, did you mean you have a bi flap and a tri flap sleeve ??

you can get bi flap pat pend and pat numbered slevves and tri flap pat pend sleeve and all would likely be correct for a two box

never seen a tri flap pat numbered ahdn personally ...yet

I assume this is because the patent was granted after the switch to the twin flip sleeve?

I assume this is because the patent was granted after the switch to the twin flip sleeve?

nope its plain screw up/not caring and no attention to detail imho

The patents number was added to new flip emi albums in 1969 so it would have predated that, however beatles sleeves rarely got the updated patents number even with sleeves made after 1969, the big exception was Oldies which had a huge mis-mash of sleeve variants from 1969-72 most running alongside each other.

AHDN is on of the only other post 69 sleeves to get a pat numbered sleeve, I'd be interested to hear if anybody knows of any other beatles sleeves to get the pat number treatment.

of course another explanation could be old stock, enough sleeves being printed and held in stock so that those albums pressed from 1969 when into old sleeves but i do not buy that , for example late flip sleeves that look identical to an earlier sleeve can often be indentfied by " feel " they can feel thinner, but thats not something i can explain well, you have to have handled hundreds of them to know this....

you can get 2 box copies in tri flip sleeves, that is not at all unusual.

THE info is in a mixture of peoples heads and various conflicting websites sadly

if you mean the matrices of the the discs for these pressings that are usually all -1-1, a -1-2 may exist but that is not confirmed as far as i am aware.
