Hi everybody!

A friend of mine got an export white album a few days ago! He got it for approximately the price of a 80's reedition.... What a lucky guy!
He asked me to help him identify the record and be sure that his find is legitimate! I don't know that much these records! I'm 99% sure it is legit but I'd like you to check!

Matrixes and Stampers:
Side 1:
Matrix: YEX 709-1 Stamper: GDD at 3 o`clock Stamper: 2 at 10 o`clock
Side 2:
Matrix: YEX 710-1 Stamper: GDR at 4 o`clock Stamper: 1 at 10 o`clock
Side3:
Matrix: YEX 711-1 Stamper: GP T at 2 o`clock Stamper: 3 at 10 o`clock
Side 4:
Matrix: YEX 712-1 Stamper: GO G at 1:30 o`clock Stamper: 5 at 9 o`clock

Label disc 2 is in beautiful plain dark black paper.
Label disc 1 is not that dark! I mean it almost looks "blackbrownish"! Like the parlophone B&Y from Portugal for example!

I did not listen the record but my friend grade it at VG+
From my point of view cover is VG+ and labels + visual playing surfaces are EX-

Then I have another question for you! Actually there is no pics in his record. Which edition of WA do house exactly the same pics as exports issues?

Another and last question that may not find any answers but I was wondering if there was any list of countries where such records were exported?
I assume It was in the former British colonies and in a lot of other countries but which ones?
I remember a few weeks ago somebody talking for example of a stamp from Bahrain on the back an export B&Y Beatles 6...

Thanks for your help

Easiest way would be to see some pictures of the cover and labels if that's possible? :)

i do not see any reason for doubting that this is genuine.

The matrix and mother stamps vary greatly, as do sleeve numbers, they all originally would have come with black inners, poster pics and spacer.

As to countries, others may know exactly, certainly Portugal, possibly Malta too, and I think most of the West Indies and maybe some East African countries but others may know for sure.

If he's keeping it for himself, yes, he can take the photos from any original White Album.
If he plans to sell it, the photos won't add much to the perceived value.
Yes, it's GENUINE!

Frank is right in that the photo's will not add much value to a rarity like that, but having said that it is always nice if selling one to have it complete with poster and pics - but i would not worry about the spacer.

Only pics from an original UK white album are technically correct, having said that and going back to Frank's point if you were to add later pics nobody would be too bothered, its the labels they are after.

Thanks for your information!
Actually he is (as I am and as many of you are) a perfectionist collector! He has not planed to sell it and want to keep it for him but he would like to get the right pictures to have in his hands a full set of this gem.
But if I understand well there exist different type of pictures differing from the spacers but we can't tell which "type" would go with this specific issue! => so that's what I wanted to know. He already put pics from another WA!

So lucky to get it!

Does somebody have more knowledge concerning the possible countries where it was exported?
Thanks

THEY ARE HARD TO DESCRIBE unless you have differing sets to compare with, but the originals are darker and richer in colour, later ones are lighter...
