What could be worth more than a low-numbered white album? Consecutive low-numbered white albums! If only the price wasn't so steep. |

Interesting that it's another stereo - although no photos of the back of the sleeve. I'm guessing that the vinyl has been swapped out. Also the meagre description (with poor grammar and spelling) does ring alarms. |

The ebay auction mentioned by muffmaster was for a stereo WA cover numbered 0082891. For some time already I have a 0083856 stereo top opener sleeve (with STEREO printed on back). Not sure if I posted this before but the consensus is that stereo sleeves are all above 300,000 but it seems that somewhere around 82-83k a batch of stereo sleeves was produced...... Posted Image |

Yes, the problem is that there are 600,000+ sleeves and we try to base our conclusions on let's say a hundred sleeves we've seen. Even we examine a thousand sleeves (which would be a hell of a job) that would be far less than 1% of all WA sleeves out there. Assume that <1% of the sleeves below 300,000 had STEREO on them, then the change of finding them in our sample is very very small. But the fact that the 2 numbers of the ones above are so close together (about a thousand apart) is no coincidence imo, although these still could be incidental copies (someone could do the statistics, probably the numbers are significantly close together). Does anybody else have a stereo sleeve below 300,000 ?? |

yes i have a 200,000 odd stereo sleeve and i have sold a 200 & 100k stereo stamped sleeve, and i agree with you there are random batches within the first 300k that were stamped stereo, of course they could stamp the odd one but it would make sense for them to do them in batches, however they can't be big batches as we see so few stereo stamped sleeves below 300k ... |

Hi, I am Luigi from Italy -I apologize for my bad english. I have had a large Beatles UK collection in the pastime, that now has mostly gone away. One of my best items was a UK stereo White Album, top opening, with number 0000018. It was an actual original UK top opening stereo cover, showing "stereo" printed on back. It was purchased from Tracks UK. All the best! Luigi |

How interesting, Luigi. Did you ever take photos of your #18 White Album? I have a mono #18 -- the copy that sold several years ago that was folded backwards. It is in mono. |
