To me it looks like a legit tri centre don't think it's home made, just trying to figure out a country that was still on tri centre so late in the day so to speak and Rhodesia came to mind.

the central inner ring which is still visible suggests to me that it was not made that way...

however it could have been adapted like the juke box copies were

Rhodesian tri centres have made in Rhodesia stamped on the runout.

...and it went for £225, way over my budget, but if its 1 of just 2 or 3 known, that's not way out is it?

if its a hatchet job then thats a good price.

Personally i take the same view on these as i do on the 1 box White albums, they are being passed of - even if its inadvertently - as something they are not, a UK pressing.

The difference is that this one looks like it uses actual UK labels, while the one box WA does not.

I agree that the odds are against it being made in the UK.

yes they are definately UK labels but to me it's either a so far unspecified non UK or a home made job. If the former it has some value as do 1 box emi WA's ( although i wouldn't touch em ) if the latter then it is more arguable.

BTW when i say home made I include the possibility that a country/outlet had a need to provide push out centred copies and had a tri centred punch for that purpose to convert the solids. I do not necessarily mean that it has been faked up although that remains an option but my money is on the former.
