I'm pretty sure there's a difference between the East Coast EP cardboard sleeves and the way they were manufactured. Can someone tell me what that difference was? And does it also apply to the 4 by EP? Thanks. |

Yes, they are different. The east coast cover folds over the front with a slick pasted over the folds. The west coast cover has it folded over the back with a slick pasted over. The 4-BY EP is the same. |

Not exactly. One may find copies of EAP-1-2121 from either factory with either cover folding. It seems as though the copies with the larger front are actually an earlier (or later) cover printing, but it may only be true that they come from a different printer. The colors vary slightly from coast to coast, too, so there's not really any distinguishing feature. The same is true with copies of R-5365. One may find copies with the different fold equally with west-coast and east-coast copies, although they do seem to occur more frequently on LA copies. Other copies from LA seem to have a different shade of green for the 4's and for the background behind the Beatles, but (unlike Beatles '65) this may be a coincidence. |
