These 4 Capitol acetates are fake, right? (Frank?)

Some interesting and apparently real non-Beatles stuff, but the fake Across The Universe is not an encouraging sign.

The colors are very good, but they're fakes.
The absence of the no-slip rings proves they weren't made by Capitol.
All their test pressings had them, and in particular there are quite a few test pressings of "Ballad of John and Yoko" out there.

You sure about that? Here's a similar pressing that is guaranteed legit (the owner played on the recording!), and it doesn't have the non-slip rings.

And like the ones on ebay, it has no front-side pressing ring.

Housed in an "audiodiscs" Audio Devices, New York, paper sleeve.

I don't know if The Beatles ones are fake, but the typewriter font matches the legit one pretty close and that would be nigh on impossible to recreate in the digital domain.

Anyway, if they're not real, they are damn good fakes - colour, logos, even the little tiny gaps on the crosses are perfect.

Below is a similar beach boys test pressing (same stamp). The site says it's fake.

That last one is an acetate cut, not a vinyl pressing. Same as the four ebay ones. The same material as the master are cut with for vinyl pressing.
