Were there any 1967 first pressing Magical Mystery Tour Stereo EP, SMMT-1 examples pressed WITHOUT the S.I.U.K print on labels? |

NOT that i have ever seen The closest to it is the 1969 cross over solid centred copy with one disc with siuk the other without it. The disc with the SIUK is the only known solid centre stereo to display the siuk text. |

My example has the 4 "prong" center without the S.I.U.K. print. The 7" gate fold cover is consistent with a 1967 first pressing issue. The labels are all four the same (A1 B1) with the "Northern Songs, NCB" print on two lines. "Grammophone" rim print is capitalized. |

you could only shock me if there was a KT tax stamp in the centre, not in the run out but on the centre even though tax stamps do crop up from time to time on later pressings I've yet to see one on a post 69 SMMT |

The KT stamp does not appear on any of the centers but is present in the run-off area. 1G appears at approx. 9 o'clock on the Side 2 run-off area. On Side 3 it's either 1G or the number 15 or 16 that is present on the 9 o'clock run-off. I don't have my trusty eyepiece magnifier with me so Side 3 is in doubt. The inner sleeves are white (non wavy) die cut and have a thumb tab not unlike the Capitol West Coast picture sleeves. |

that's almost certainly a 69-71 copy but probably nearer 69. |

Are you sure? "1" might appear at 9 o.clock, but "G" would be at 3 o'clock, as the stamper letters always are, wouldn't it? I think its "16". |

The Side 2 run out reveals two symbols side by side at 9 o'clock that are difficult to discern. The 4 o'clock run off shows three symbols positioned vertically approx. an 1/8 apart, also difficult to read. |

The matrix suffixes are as follows: Side 1--3 Side 2--2 Side 3--1 Side 4--3 As per yokono.com the labels on my example are the exact same as those on the 1970? second pressing, however the matrices are NOT the same! |

Xex606--my copy of MMT has the 4 prong center without the S.I.U.K. print. Apart from that the labels are the same as the examples you offered for viewing. Thanks! |

I would agree with Henry your copy is 1969 probably pressed at a similar time to mine.I think on the copy that I have they just used some some old labels up(the one with with siuk ) and some old covers as the cover on mine has a stereo sticker on a mono cover by the time my copy was produced mono copies had been discontinued but they had a few mono covers left so they just stereo stickered them. |

The cover is the confusing part. It is, as far as I can tell an original 1967 example having the SMMT-1 and Stereo print on the back. It has all the identifiers of an original laminated Stereo gate fold cover. Is it possible I have an original cover with later date records? |

Yes almost certainly an earlyer cover and a latter disc they just carried on using the covers they had till they ran out and had to print some more. |
