Has the collectable status and/or value of Beatles original Capitol Mexican Musart EP's increased over the years?

Neither Capitol EP's nor Musart EP's have changed very much.
The EP was Mexico's most popular format. The ones that were always in demand (alternate covers, etc.) are still in demand, but the prices haven't really gone up much -- except in high grades. Most of the Musart EP's sold for between $10 and $25 on eBay last month.

Mexican LP's (albums) have fared much better -- particularly in high grades. The boxed set is SUPER collectible now.

Speaking of South of the border Beatles vinyl, I was wondering if Cuba manufactured or offered any Beatles material during the dark Castro years. Or any other Communist country for that matter.

I know this has come up before, but I believe 1967 was the first time a Communist country issued any Beatles material. Most "Commies" didn't issue Beatles records until after the band broke up.

Ah, yes. I recall now how we went through all the Amiga pressings in another listing. They weren't new releases, but yes, they came out mainly in 1965.

There definitely were no authorized records made in Cuba, and no documented pirate or bootleg discs either. I assume homemade cassette tapes circulated.

As Frank stated, Musart LPs in nice shape are prized. Musart vol. 5 is hard to find because it was issued for only a few months before Capitol Mexico began operations and Musart's license ended. The stereo copies of vol. 5, the only Musart Beatles record issued in stereo, are extremely hard to find. I don't have it, but I do have an Ecuador copy of Beatles vol. 5 in stereo made by IFESA from Musart - supplied stampers.

Other communist countries where authorized Beatles music was issued pre-breakup include Czechoslovakia (Oldies only), Yugoslavia (Oldies - titled Hits Of Beatles, Sgt. Pepper, White Album, Abbey Road, Yellow Submarine, Let It Be) and Romania (one track on a VA compilation).

Which was the country that issued it and what title did it issue?

USSR, Musical Kaleidoscope Vol. 8. This was a 10 inch VA compilation of western artists. It was made by Melodiya, the state-owned record company. It included Girl.
