I have a few copies of US Apple 45s that are lacking the gripper treads/ridges around the label perimeter. Apparently, these are contract pressings. Does anyone know which company these pressings can be attributed to? REVISE: Well, I've got two copies of Get Back that lack the gripper treads and they have the Scranton factory stamp. What is the deal with the lack of gripper treads? How come some 45s went to market without them? |
