Hi and thanks for that. Where is my copy dated from? It has: Same dark green label with an image of an apple on side 1 and sliced apple on side 2. Publishing year printed with small copyright symbol (p). Without tax code. Push-out center. Matrix numbers: Side A: 7YCE.21407-1U, Side B: 7YCE.21408-1U. Smidge. |

I also have one like that, only with a push out center. The labels on my copies are identical, but one with xxxxxxx over matrix, one without. Both have small "p" symbols. I beleave they made the "p" symbols larger in late 1970 so it could just be left over label stock used on these copies. The ones without crossout markings are odd, even my later copy from the black singles box has the matrix crossed out on YKMN side. |

that copy will have the xxxx'd out matrix in front of the side 2 standard matrix, if your copy is the sane as that it will have that too, the copy pictures looks like an original 1970 pressing to me.. |

I concur with Henry regarding the date of the image shown in the posted link. Applehound also has a point. I also have later pressings with the crossed out apple matrix on side 2. I posted some images of some of my LIB variants in May and they all have the crossed out apple matrix. http://z10.invisionfree.com/BeatlesCollect...?showtopic=3241 |

So...do we conclude that there was only one UK standard issue of LiB? |

Yes... Of the original March 1970 release. Dark(ish) Apple label, predominantly solid centre although push outs were produced at the same time. Light card flip-back picture sleeve. Light apple, P-R CAT export black Parlophone and P-R CAT Apple label variants came later. The timing of the exports compared to standard 1st pressings is unknown. I used to use the crossed out Apple matrix as a method of dating until I discovered ALL my copies have this including the World Records box set. As a rule of thumb ONLY, you can date LIB labels by comparing the size of the 'P' before the 1970 date on the left of the labels. First pressed labels have a smaller solid looking 'P'. I say 'ONLY' because both my P-R CAT exports also have a small 'P' although my black Parlophone 'P' is slightly more ambiguous. As always, it's a minefield... Putting a date to Beatles' record pressings is not an exact science. |

if its a dark apple solid centre it is most likely an original and at worst dates before mid 1972.... |
