exactly I did say to Evan that I didn't fancy queing all night in the cold and wet just to be the 301st person there, I know my luck......

I hate queing for anything though to be fair......

mind you what time does the pay parking start up there lol !! could drive up at 5am, park in golden square or somewhere and still probably miss out grrrrrrr....

come back emptyhanded and find the car towed, 350 quid later to those bartstewards at Westminster council !!!

So far, I can only find the 2CD set to pre-order at a reasonable price. Naturally, I want the vinyl LP. Two copies. The only places I can find the LP, it costs TRIPLE what the CD sells for.

34 squid on the Beatles Shop online.... don't know about postage, but that'll be my first port of call if my local independent record shop (about 200 yards from my house :) ) doesn't have it!

Yes, the LP is probably cheapest at beatles.com, which I normally try to avoid because of what they sell (stupid memorabilia, expensive "ltd edition" prints, and digital nonsense such as Tomorrow never knows). The first 1000 orders or so will get a promo CD with it, which would make some money on ebay probably to cover the excessive costs, so I took the gamble and ordered there.

Frank, the price at the Beatles shop online is the cheapest so far. All the Amazons have both of them but the prices are in that 35 quid area no matter which one it is

http://www.thebeatlesonline.co.uk/thebeatl...4G0000000?back=

vol 1 - http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00FCVZ6LU/ref=...7986871_TE_item

Vol 2 - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Air-Live-At-BBC-VI...he+bbc+volume+2

I imagine that when the initial rush is over the price may go down. That Black Friday RSD thing that is in the US may be an opportunity but it is before the Nov 11th release date.

What's this ? It says "number of discs: 3" and "vinyl box set", but tracklisting shows 2 LPs. Is this a vol 1 rerelease/repressing on Universal ? Let's hope not...
Beatles.com only mentions a vol1 remastered and repacked CD. And what is a "Treble vinyl LP" (the term used for vol 2) ? Or should this be "triple" ?

Thats right - the old volume 1 has been entirely rejigged with better versions where possible, the overlapping/crossfading has been removed.

The 2 discs bit is from the CD listing but it is 3 LP's - and yes seems that Treble is the new triple :)

Amazon Canadia has it for $50 - cheaper than the $65 at the US site

VINYL version (3LP): Remastered original set: Live at the BBC Volume 1

The US site has the tracklisting

This just in :

I got one this morning on my way to work. There was about 50 people in the queue and one per person. Once the queue went, there were just hundreds of copies sitting on the racks behind the counter and a lot of staff waiting about!

Probably should have promoted it a bit more, but if anyone's in London today, probably worth a trip on the off-chance! Its only a few doors down from Bond Street tube station
.

so if anyone is in Londinium - on yer bike!

Are the LP sets genuine UK pressings (or perhaps Dutch 'export pressings'), or EU pressings? Or even USA pressings, because they are being advertised by What Records:

ok i was shamed into it, jumped on the tube and managed to bag three, sold one damn quick, keeping one for me and one for Evan as i would never have gone down there if it hadn't been for him.

Arrived at 11.30am and they still had loads, had lunch and came back for another, and they still had loads.....had i got organised i could have got loads more but to be honest i am surprised at the interest in them....

There must have been more than 300 surely......
