( ps for those that do not remember or are too young or who are not British, a guinea was 1 pound and 1 shilling, G 1.05 in todays money and was used for medium ticket items like furniture , electricals and also things like suits - ....I liked guineas, the term initially survived decimalisation but it soon after dissapeared from use )

British money was a lot of fun. Farthing, Ha'penny, Penny, Tuppence, Sixpence, Shilling, Half Crown, Guinea. There was also a Groat, which I believe disappeared long before the rest, and was 4p if memory serves.

I remember when I visited the UK as a kid, I had dreams about finding money in the street in weird shapes, colors and denominations.

yes the groat died in th 19th century, the farthing in the fifties but i used all the others....

my pocket money was originally half a crown (12.5p) but by the end of the 60's it was 10 bob...

friday was fish and chips for tea and pay day, thats when dad would dish out the goodies....over tea at the kitchen table

What is/are the correct disc/discs for the Parlophone sleeves with a curved cut on top and with the two flips shown on the sides?

yes but what's on the front ? from memory i think that may have the box parl/emi on the front, if do then IFF and TTR are both fine....if its just the roundal parl then AHDN and IFF....

On front it has the rounded Parlophone symbol. So, I assume what I have is a swap.

well based on recent discussions Maybe not, your IWTHYH could have been pressed later in 64 using 63 labels and sent out in that sleeve.....the photo posted recently shows an IWTHYH at emi being married up with just that same sleeve i think.....

mid you just when you think you have seen it all i yesterday found a columbia with wavy tops but no flips, i had no idea that was possible, you only usually see that on repro sleeves.....
