Just returned from a Beatles' London trip. Here's a picture of the only AR tiles left on that road. Forgot my hammer and chisel unfortunately ;)

That's great, I must get back to London, the AR crossing zebras are some of the things I'm still missing!

I wanted one of the trees in the background...but it wouldn't fit in my car.

I had no idea that there were any left and go thru there enough times.....must be somewhere in the Camden half, Westminster ( where the studio's are ) had replaced all their signs by the early 70's with that iconic design by that guy in 1966 whose name escapes me.....

However if you have chisel will travel you can go all over highgate and hampstead where theses letters still exist for street signs and chisel a letter here and a letter there, you only need to do it 12 times....and nobody will notice...you may struggle with the " 8 " though.....

and then next step...ebay hehehehe !!

That's correct, this is in the NW6 region (not in NW8 where the studios are). I also thought that all tiles had gone, but the Lewisohn/Smith/Schreuders book explained that only one spot was left and I found it via maps.google and decided to pay it a visit.
Namralos, unfortunately the trees in the background of the sleeve photograph were all bare now. I assume the leaves were stolen by overexcited fans with small cars ;)
Here's another picture from the trip. The plaque on the bench wasn't there when I visited in 2012, so someone put that there recently

It now is in my backyard
This is St. Pancras Old Church, near King's Cross/St. Pancras. Some famous shots were made there, incl. the inner sleeve for the red and blue albums. The (original ?) black iron fence which they stood behind is still there (because it was too heavy to take with me ;) ) and picture with the Beatles surrounded by hollyhocks (with the brown buildings in the background).
More pics to follow later or hopefully other forum members' ones....

I've just been looking again at some of the photo's of that shoot, it's fascinating to seen them in and around some areas that I know so well, the old street roundabout and down by the river at Wapping ( it makes lovely summers evening in the pubs down there that back onto the river like the Capt Kidd and there are several places you can go right down to the foreshore ), but in 1968 it would have been a very run down area..

It's also funny to think of them there at Wapping on their " mad day out " when I would have at that very same time been only a few miles down the road from them aged 8.

Actually does anybody know where Dylan's film for Sub blues was shot, I'm sure that was while he was in London in 1965 the warehouses also look familar and may have been either there, St Katherines dock or maybe Bermondsey...one to look up on wikipedia methinks....
