I think Vernon has it as a 5th press: http://pinkfloydarchives.com/DUKLPPF.htm#DSOTM1 |

Thanks for the link, seems its not an EMI press which I suspected with the absence of Mother and stamper letters but probably mid 80's. 5th press 14) Z SHVL - 804-A-7 1 B/S/ HTM / Z SHVL-804-B-6 ... B (both written - small deep groove pressing ring indicates LP not pressed at EMI Village, London) |

I'm here !! Personally I think that is a mid 70's issue, it is a contract press similar to what you can find on Band on the Run and Imagine, I have seen them on all before It may be dutch..or may not be, but its defo for the UK market... and may also be another example of the great Hayes capacity outage of 1973/4 However those matrices seem quite high and would indicate later in the 70's, the absence of the WORLD COPYRIGHT from the labels is also after 74 I think Pink Floyd experts may be able to date exactly when those matrices appear and when the World copyright is removed... However I am certain it is 70's and not 80's....and probably not later than 77 |

Looks like an early gatefold sleeve with the 7303 date code and not the later one. http://pinkfloydarchives.com/Discog/UK/LP/...M/DSOTM1/IC.jpg |

Which ties in with the Hayes not being able to produce in '73 |

I think all the sleeves keep that date code so it doesn't help much The only ones I think with a different date is the quad which is 73/12 as the quad was released several months after the stereo |

Yep... and by the early 80's, the text in that region changed from blue to white... along with the introduction of the barcode... :) |

yes defo contract press, as i said above as well as dark side i've seen them on imagine, botr, and several island LP's. all have that deeper central ring and most have that strange texturing to the label.. i also once saw an animals too so the date of 77 may be right and explain the later matrix and no world copyright it could be dutch..... |

Just checked the labels after reading your post, side 1 glossy apart from inside the circle, side two rough / dull dimpled texture. |

I doubt this could be Dutch, I don't know of any Dutch LP from the 70s with that inner ring and rough textured label..... |
