Fort Anne is in Annapolis Royal which stands beside the Annapolis Basin. The Annapolis Basin is an inlet off of the Bay Of Fundy (highest tides in the world etc). This is all at the south-western end of Nova Scotia, one of the smaller provinces of Canada situated on its eastern coast - part of The Maritimes collection of provinces.

Unfortunately I can find no Beatles connection with Fort Anne, Annapolis Royal, The Bay Of Fundy or Nova Scotia - but it's a beautiful place and is now the official site of Nowhere Land apparently! ;)

There endeth the geography lesson!

I, too, am confused. Can I carry on calling you Bill? It seems unnatural not to!

Are you perhaps following James Paul McCartney and are actually named Mark William Stiggins? (Or, alternatively, William Mark Stiggins?)

Spot on - well, apart from the 'Stiggins'. No-one is called Stiggins, surely?

William is the middle name and I'm known as Mark or Bill - either works :D

Oh, and 'Stiggins' = Knowles

Well it's a long and not particularly interesting story I'm afraid - the 'Bill' came first and I picked up the 'Stiggins' from an English essay that a good friend wrote - which we chanced across some years after we'd left school.

'Bill Stiggins' was a character in the story and, as I was already 'Bill', I also became Stiggins. And now billstiggins is the name I always come up with when I have to think of a username in a hurry.

etc...

I should probably be a little more varied in my choice of username..

Oh my mate was ratarsed and fell asleep on a bench next to Aldgate East and when he woke up he had £20 in coins and a McDonald's on his lap. I stayed sober, knocked my pan in at Eli's and got £16 cash in hand. It's an injustice.
