I've never heard of a UK Demo of Power To The People, but suddenly there's one on Popsike: http://www.popsike.com/John-Lennon-Power-T...0369741074.html So, is this a genuine one or a cleverly faked one? Anyone? Henry? Posted Image Posted Image |

I have a copy of this, def. genuine copy, 1G/1G stampers etc, rare though imo. What is even harder though is Apple 15 RKT, I thought I had a record with the same label both sides until I found another that had a release date stamped on it (not a demo). On closer inspection the record plays the "A" side on both sides, incidently the first Apple artist demo was Apple 30 MH. |

OK, thanks Nigel. It must be very rare, first time I've seen this..... Strange that the B-side has an "A" printed on it, too, I never heard that this was supposed to be a double A-side disc. By the way, can you please scan the sides of your copy, these scans are a bit distorted....? I have that RKT double A-side disc, too. Found it last year, the seller had put a sticker "misprint with 2 A-side labels" on it. When I played it, it played the A-side on both sides. It's definitely not a misprint, it has unique matrix numbers: Apple 15 C-1 (no stamper code)/Apple 15 D-1 (G1 stamper code) unlike stock copies, which have Apple 15 A-2/Apple 15 B-2 matrix numbers. Paid £10 for a Mint copy...... ;) |

yes it was defo a double A side, thats why the apple is green on both sides, they made a cock up with the later light apple copies with the uncut apple only on open your box and the cut apple on Power to the People making it look incorrectly like Power was actually the B side !! |

Will do with the PTTP, As Henry says, there's a few different pressings of PTTP, also a light green full Apple on both sides and I have a light/dark green version, strange! Everyone will be looking for the RKT single now!! |
