I am not an expert in this case, but I suppose because it's a promo one....maybe. |

There are loads of Beatles/Solo demos on Ebay but they tend to go for between £20 and £70 or so, just curious why this is so high... |

I think mainly because it is one of the more rarely seen. Some you see all the time like "Getting closer", "I've had enough" or "Let 'em in" But these early demo's are not that often available. That's my opinion at least Preben Vedsted |

There's a premium for stock copies credited to 'McCartney's Wings' - perhaps it works the other way round with demo copies? But I agree that this 45 is rarely seen in demo form, so we probably have a bidding war between folk aiming to complete their collections. The next copy (if one appears) will probably go for far less... |

I've got a standard issue 1G both sides. But no demo marking unfortunately. I bought it off amazon about a year ago. I was after a red sleeve. I didn't know I was getting a 1G until it arrived. I have another red sleeve I bought at almost the same time (off ebay) with a later stamper which sounds better though. The sound quality on that one blows me away. Until I read it here - yesterday - I thought the McCartney's Wings label must have been the true first press. But I had evidence in my own collection it wasn't, and I didn't put two and two together But also evidence that the red sleeve came with some 1G's at least. I am pretty sure the one I got was not a sleeve swap. Whoever was lucky enough to score their demo's before the ebay era, must certainly be glad. I could only imagine how much it would cost now. |

My love rarely turns up as a demo, likewise Another Day, Hi Hi Hi and Sally G, I would say those are the hardest Macca demo's to find so prices will be at a premium. |
