Thank you chaps! Still only 48 :)

I've really enjoyed the activity on here again over the past year - the singles, EPs and Apple listings. Great fun - so thank you all, for all of that!

As an aside - I've been out of work for six months now, so my Beatles buying has taken a real hit; only a 69 Y&B AHDN purchased since last summer. I was fortunate enough to receive a set of One-boxes from a neighbour; all in NM condition. He had bought them all in the early 70s, though, bizarrely, his copy of Revolver is French. He claims he bought it at the same place as all the others.

Anyway, I've recently discovered this site, which is helping fill my hours by the PC while I try to land a new job. There is so much Beatles/Apple stuff we have that goes beyond their own collections, but I hesitate to post some of the more minute variations I own, for fear of being drummed out!

I am still buying records, but these are all fairly low-value purchases from my other loves - glam rock from the 70s and 60s stuff generally. We've just had a new record shop open in Malvern - quite a rarity these days - so I try to put as much business their way as possible (I got my 69 AHDN from there). He's invited me in for a private shopping session when I land a new job :D

Right - time to crack open a cold one, methinks!

Hey Bill! Happy Birthday! :P

Sorry to hear about your misfortune, hopefully it will come to an end real soon. I wish you well.

Thanks for the link to the singles site (perhaps I should rephrase that), I can see me spending a bit of time there.

Cheers,

John

Interesting to see a copy of Let It Be 45 with the Sold in UK statement... another hole in the collection.

The Malvern 'shop' (actually a lock-up near the railway line) is also an online dealer: Classic LPs. They sell new 180g vinyl and also have boxes of very reasonably prices second hand singles & LPs. They also have their own label for folk reissues.

And here's me in the shop on Record Store Day - on the left, clutching a 78rpm Beach Boys single :D

To be honest, to me it looks like the Sold In UK centre on that LIB single was flown in from another disc..............
And you don't look a bit like 48, Bill (but then you were only still 47 when that picture was taken!).
